New Account item restriction. A month ago when GW2 was on sale for 75% I purchased a second account for myself to do some extra bits here and there, and mainly for more bank space. I have logged into this spare account everyday for the daily rewards and collected 55 laurels which today I spent on T6 mats and got myself a nice little haul of 150
With Living World Season 1, also free, you can get into the start of what leads to Heart of Thorns after LWS2. TL;DR- Free version gives you two character slots, limited Trading, the full Base Map, Dungeons, Fractals and what was the original $60 GW2 experience. If you like what you get consider buying a bundle.
I have a similar problem where my family lives in Singapore (so I stay here during long holiday seasons), Study in the UK, but also visit all my extended family in the states for the winter/spring months.
So i'm a new player as you can guess, and a Free 2 Play. I read some pieces of information about GW2 going F2P and it was said that there would be no restrictions on the BLTC. Which is false, because I would not be posting this otherwise. Guild wars 2, the modern "successor" of guild wars, offers a free to play mode, allowing for a portion of the content in order to increase server population and eventually lead to more sales down the road. However, despite being a 20 year old game (almost), guild wars doesn't have this. Who, after trying guild wars 2 for free, is going to shell

You can't add a friend but they can add you its the same as parties you can have friends and be in parties but only if a pay to play member invites you.
There are probably just two categories of people excited about getting a heroic code. The first is people who have been playing F2P and will now get the restrictions lift for free while they decide if they want to buy expansions. The second is people who want another account they can log into daily for login rewards. 42.
The restrictions won't really get in the way of anyone trying to see if GW2 is the game for them, which was the point of making core free. To see if it's a game they want to buy, not to be something they never spend a cent on. Not to mention, the expansions often go on sale for a grand total of 15 dollars.
Consult the Guild Wars 2 wiki for how to acquire each ingredient. Free accounts can buy unrefined materials from the Trading Post, so you don't have to harvest it all yourself. There are three rarities for each color group: Fine (blue rarity), Masterwork (green rarity), and Rare (yellow rarity). The rarity color does not indicate the dye color. WxNd.
